Ice Cream Cake - Super Easy!

So, I'm not much the baking type, but when I saw this ice cream recipe on Bakerella, it was like a Halleluyah! moment. It's supppperrr easy and the possibilities are endless. The only thing you need to buy is the spring form pan (which in my case, found it at a thrifstore in perfect condition, just washed it really good of course - you can also find one at target for less than $20) then  voila! You too can make an ice cream cake.

This is the original recipe posted on Bakerella - Easy Oreo Mint Ice Cream Cake
I substituted the mint oreos for regular ones, I also used vanilla flavored ice cream and instead of whipped cream I used a bit of condensed milk and topped it off with strawberries.

(( if you don't have a food processor to crush the cookies, you can just use your blender and move them around until they are crushed good enough adding the butter along the way ))

You can definitively customize the cake in many ways, for example - the crust could be made from honey grahams, your choice of ice cream flavor and you could also put some frozen fruits of your choice in the middle and on top. Veryyyy delicious and easy!

Beautiful Food Storage

Saveur has done it again!
I wanted to share this article on tips on how to stock the fridge.
(( I've always try to keep things somewhat organized and visible in the fridge or else I totally forget about them, they get left behind in the back or in a bottom drawer, and since my fridge has solid drawers I'll forget what's in it - I think having clear drawers really helps a lot!!! )) So what I do is, chop the veggies that I get and put them in clear Pyrex containers. That way they're visible and ready to be eaten!

Temperature and humidity levels inside a fridge can vary; while each individual fridge is unique, there are some general guidelines you can follow when stocking it to ensure that it operates at maximum efficiency and all your ingredients stay fresh for as long as possible.

1 The top shelves of the fridge tend to be the warmest; store things that won't perish as quickly here, like beverages and fruit.

2 The lower shelves, which are colder, are ideal for storing leftovers, dairy, and other foods that can spoil quickly.

3 High humidity levels in the crisper drawers maintain the right levels of moisture to keep leafy greens and vegetables fresh and crisp. This is also the best place to store cheese (wrapped in cheese paper or parchment paper followed by plastic wrap).

4 The bottom drawer of the fridge is perfect for meats and seafood—it's coldest here, and there's no risk of drips contaminating fresh foods below.

5 Store butter in a closed compartment, since it readily absorbs other odors.

6 Herbs stay fresh when they’re stored like flowers; place them in jars with a couple inches of water and cover them with an upturned plastic bag. Place them in the door, where it's slightly warmer and they won't be as easily knocked over.

This oranges print top really caught my eye when watching GIRLS the other day.

I went thrifting looking for any fruit print tops, but no luck. Then yesterday I was browsing jcrew online and found the top!
It is surprisingly cheap for only 39.50

Alsoooo, while looking for the image above I came across her outfit for SXSW 2014:

Mixing Prints

I came across Backyard Bill Blog, a blog where you can find "stylish folks in their own clothes"! I love how these two ladies pull out amazingly the mix and match trend.

Lately I feel terribly inspired by color! I mean, starring at this makes me want to redooo my whole apartment  ---- which is not happening, but Oh well, maybe one day I will have my own studio and it will be very pretty and colorful <3!
