So, I'm not much the baking type, but when I saw this ice cream recipe on Bakerella, it was like a Halleluyah! moment. It's supppperrr easy and the possibilities are endless. The only thing you need to buy is the spring form pan (which in my case, found it at a thrifstore in perfect condition, just washed it really good of course - you can also find one at target for less than $20) then voila! You too can make an ice cream cake.
I substituted the mint oreos for regular ones, I also used vanilla flavored ice cream and instead of whipped cream I used a bit of condensed milk and topped it off with strawberries.
(( if you don't have a food processor to crush the cookies, you can just use your blender and move them around until they are crushed good enough adding the butter along the way ))
You can definitively customize the cake in many ways, for example - the crust could be made from honey grahams, your choice of ice cream flavor and you could also put some frozen fruits of your choice in the middle and on top. Veryyyy delicious and easy!
